Q-8 Headline News - 26 August 2008: The Q-8 Alumni Association announces the appointment of Alumni Mark Kennedy '68 as the new Q-8 AA Recruiting and Retention Officer. *** 21 August 2008: The Q-8 Alumni Association announces the appointment of Alumni Rudy Pascucci '74 as the new Q-8 AA Historian. *** 17 August 2008: The Q-8 AA held its BOT elections this week and 90% of our membership voted, thank you! All the incumbents, Paul Farinella '65, James Cameron '68, Tony Bilello '74, Bill Wagner '78 and Matt Zvolensky '87, were re-elected and we welcome Paul Flora '64 as the newest BOT member. We also thank Mark Kennedy '68, Rudy Pascucci '74 and Randy Kitchin '88 for running, they will all be offered staff positions and non voting board observer status. *** 10 August 2008: The Q-8 Alumni Association and active company welcomes LTC Michael A. Boden, USA, who has assumed the position of Professor of Military Science at Hofstra. *** 2 August 2008: The Q8 AA would like to thank all alumni who answered our summer survey. *** 8 May 2008: P/R COL William Cosgrove '07 today was named the Hofstra University "MAN OF THE YEAR". Congratulations Bill! *** 4 April 2008: It is with deep regret that the Q-8 Alumni Association announces the death of alumni Dr. Richard Laskin, Colonel, USA (Ret) on 1 March 2008, RIP. *** 30 March 2008: Thanks to all the brothers who attended the Company Dinner in Plainview last night, it was a great evening and everyone had a good time. *** 27 March 2008: Congratulations to Mateo Belford '04 on his election as the next Q-8 CO and to his new senior staff, Alex McHale '07 who will take over the duties as XO and Wallace Rutecki who will assume the duties as 1SG. *** 20 March 2008: The Q-8 Alumni Association congratulates Pat Higgins '76 on his promotion to Brigadier General, USA. Welcome to the Pershing Rifles Q-8 Alumni Association, Inc.'s web site. We are a 501 (c) 3 incorporated in New York State, and chartered by the Hofstra University Alumni Organization. The founders of the association established the organization in order to "encourage, preserve, and develop the ideals espoused by the National Society of Pershing Rifles, Company Q-8, Hofstra University, and in order to provide for a continuation of the bonds of brotherhood born in them while active members in the same".

This site is dedicated to all the alumni, both living and deceased. It is to be a vessel of communication between the association and those members around the globe for which it was established for. So if you are a Q-8 alumni and want to know what's going on with the association or even the active brotherhood for that matter, just browse our site's pages and drop us a line from time to time.
