Q-8 Alumni Association Membership
i. Membership: Q-8 AA Dues/Donations. Just a reminder that your dues for 2010/11 are still $50 per year. This year, the membership appreciation gift is a Q-8 Tote Bag. There is an application at the end of this newsletter.
ii. Lifetime Memberships: Lifetime members will never have to pay dues again, and will continue to receive the lifetime gift (Q-8 jacket) and the annual gift each year as well. Rates are by age range and are as follows:
1. 20-39: $450
2. 40-49 $400
3. 50-59: $350
4. 60-69: $300
5. 70+: $250
iii. New Commissionees and Graduates: Your dues have been set at $25 which will cover your first 18 months membership.
iv. You can pay on the web Pay Pal at www.prq8alumni.com or by sending your credit card information or a check made out to the Hofstra University and in the memo section write c/o Q-8 Alumni Association and mail to:

xi. United Way & Corporate Matching Gifts: Please consider approaching your corporate foundations for matching gifts or outright grants. You can check here to see if your company is a matching gift participant (Click Here.)
xii. If you donate to HOFSTRA and request that the money be given to the Q-8 Alumni Operating Fund, then your firm will match your gift (limits may apply). Simply specify Hofstra University/Q-8 Alumni Operating Fund as the recipient.
xiii. The same is true of United Way. If you need assistance please call our Hofstra Alumni Advisor Gwen Wade at (516) 463-6639. Don’t forget that you can also donate to us via the United Way by sending the money to HOFSTRA and designating the Q-8 Alumni Association Operating Fund as your recipient. xiv. The Q-8 AA Hofstra Web Page and the Q8 AA NYS certification as a not for profit can be found at the bottom of the Q8AA homepage on our website www.prq8alumni.com. We have also put together a brochure and a PowerPoint PPS on our website in the donations area to assist you in applying. If you require anything else please don’t hesitate to contact us and ask, but we need you to look into it where you work!
xi. Hofstra Permanent Alumni ID – When you request your permanent Alumni ID through alumni house and pay the $50 donation, you can earmark that money to go to the Q-8 Alumni Association General Operating Fund managed for us by Alumni House. Anytime you donate to Hofstra, you can direct that the money be given to our accounts. So if you donate to any non specific fund, simply write “For Q-8 Alumni Association Operating Fund” and your donation will be available for Q-8 for the work that we do.
